About "Come & See 2" CD

The First ever in the World.

Have you ever wonder why there is always lack of Buddhist children songs to cheer you up? Or simply just to add on to your favourite song list?

  • Shortage of Buddhist hymns among the Buddhist community is apparent when organizing camps for the young people. Two people are addressing this issue by launching the first story-based English Buddhist songs for children.
  • A composer of children songs, "Birth of the Buddha" and "Pass It On", Daniel Yeo and his friend, Ng Kang Kee (producer of two number one hit Mandarin Buddhist album in Malaysia) has teamed up to present a brand new concept in children Buddhist songs.  "Come & See" is a compilation of 8 contemporary children songs based on the life of Prince Siddhartha from His birth to Enlightenment. The singers are young adults and children between 8 to 9 years old. 

Since its launch in April 2005. almost 7000 copies of  “Come & See” has been sold and has even made its way to Germany, England, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan and Australia. A children stage musical play was even held in Medan, Indonesia in Feb 2007.

The latest addition, “Come and See 2” was launched in Malaysia, Penang on the evening of 22nd September 2007 to a roaring crowd of 700. And it will be launched in Singapore on 4th Nov 2007 at the Da Bei Buddhist Centre at Lavenda Street at 6pm.

“Come and See 2” is a compilation of 8 contemporary songs centers around positive character development and building a strong family tie.  Songs such as “Birthday Wish” teaches children that giving is better than just receiving expensive gifts for birthdays and stresses on the unconditional love of our parents and how one repay can this kindness. Where else “Food Reflection” touches on the need to be grateful and thankful for the food we eat. And that one is indeed lucky to have plentiful of food. It also teaches children that one should not waste food.
